scherer8 (core router)

This UBNT-ERX-SFP is set up as the core router in the Scherer8. It manages the DHCP client network for all freifunk nodes. It also meshes with the rooftop devices and all other nodes on the LAN.

The IP Addresses given to the Scherer8 are 10.230.229.0/24 for the Client Network, 10.230.226.192/26 for Meshing, and 2001:bf7:750:2e00::/56 to use without regard for anything since I have oh-so-very-many addresses.

Services

Weather Station

The first of hopefully many services was added to the Scherer8 on the 11th of December 2017. The weather station is built upon a Raspberry Pi. Currently the station measures the temperature, air quality, air pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, wind gust speed, wind direction, and precipitation.

The weather station is reachable on the Berlin Backbone at scherer8-wetter.olsrand it should also be possible to connect to the weather station from outside of the Backbone via 2001:bf7:750:2e0f::10.
